On Wednesday 17th October,Mission hung out with Will Best, Miquita Oliver, Lydia Bright, Zoe Hardman, Jay Camilleri and Phil Clifton, (to name but a few celebrities) to celebrate the launch of Javari.co.uk‘s ‘Sneaking Into Fashion’ trainer exhibition. Running from 18th - 28th October, the exhibition, in the heart of Covent Garden Piazza, London, showcased over 40 collectable pairs of innovative and iconic trainers.
Featuring trainers from the private collections of Brit Pop pioneers Noel and Liam Gallagher, Mo Farah’s gold winning Nike Volt’s, and the last pair designed collaboratively by Vivienne Westwood and Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaran, the exhibition highlighted how the reinvention of the trainer, and its ongoing dalliance with fashion and art, is more prominent than ever.
With XFM DJ James Hyman on the decks, and a Battersea Pie in hand, the atmosphere was perfect for some trainer inspiration, especially for those stimulated enough to go home and splash their 20% discount voucher on a pair of trendy Javari shoes!
